The Roots of Shamanism

Nat Bletter, one of the cutting edge ethnobotanists on the East Coast
gave an amazing discussion on Psychoactive plants, and their (pardon the pun) roots
in myth, shamanism and culture.

Although many diehard explorers would know of the information he discussed,
I found his talk enlightening, interesting and highly informational.

I found the fact that DMT (also penned The Spirit Molecule ) is located right behind the pineal gland which is the location of The Third Eye or the Ajna Chakra, the gateway to higher consciousness very interesting.

I was also fascinated by the pop culture images that we have adapted and how it relates to psychoactivity. For instance, the image of the witch on a broom, was a possible metaphor of witches placing these plants in their vaginal canal to increase its potency.
